HOLE #1 - PAR 5

A great opening hole this long Par 5 has a generous amount of space between the Red Pines lining both sides of the fairway, to give the golfer confidence from the tee. The fairway is fairly narrow and finding the short grass from the tee will require a well-placed tee ball. A shot finding the right centre of the landing area will pick up a few extra yards due to the down slope along this side of the fairway.

The second shot should be played to the right side of the fairway as the green is well protected by bunkers on the left. Be careful of the rough to the right side of this second shot landing area, as it is generally quite thick and can create problems playing your shot to the green.

The third shot is played to a well-protected green. The bunkers on the left will steer the player to the right centre of the green but strategically placed mounding on the right side will remind the player of how narrow and also challenging it is to get the ball close.

The putting green is long and narrow and features a few gentle slopes to test your putting skill.
