This straight away slightly uphill Par 4 is fairly short. The big hitter has an opportunity to reach the green from the tee with a well struck tee shot. It serves as a great hole early in the round to boost confidence and get your round off on the right foot. The fairway is protected by bunkers on the left side and a stand of trees on the right.

The green is very large and the slight elevation of the green visible to the player from the landing area can cause an illusion that the green isn't as deep as it appears. A low score can be made here if the second shot is played to the correct yardage.

The green has very subtle slopes to it with one exception; the front right pin placement has a severe drop off to the right side of the green.
