HOLE #17 - PAR 3

A long Par 3 often playing into the wind. The average player on many occasions will be required to play a wood especially when the tees are back. The putting green is well protected by a bunker on the left side and mounding to the right. The mounds around the green spill onto the putting surface at strategic points to create some interesting pin locations.

An errant tee shot on this hole will find the giant pines situated along the left side of the hole or long grass along the right.

The green is slightly elevated and is accessible from the front. A player can often roll a ball onto this green providing some relief after having to play a long club from the tee.

The back left pin placement is one of the more difficult pin locations on the golf course and it's not advisable to play to it. A smart play is to shoot for the centre of the green; this will produce a medium length putt even if the pin is tucked away in one of the corners.

Par is a great score here.
