General Manager-Golf Course Operations
Hours are flexible. Approx. 20-30hrs/week. Must be available on weekends when needed
Skills: Golf course general managers require a wide range of skills. They must have good interpersonal skills to deal with employees, club members, golf professionals and members of the public using the course. They require excellent analytical and financial skills to develop and monitor budgets so that the course operates at a profit. They must have marketing and customer service skills to attract and retain members. They must also be familiar with the practical and financial aspects of managing golf course facilities, including pro shops, restaurants, clubhouse and the course itself.
Operations: General manager hires, trains and manages full-time and part-time employees to run golf course operations. They oversee golf course superintendent who deal with the practical aspects of building, developing and maintaining the course. General Manager also establishes and enforces golf course policies, rules and regulations
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in accounting or Business Administration is preferred.
Preference will be given to candidates with; –
The successful candidate will work as part of a team, compiling key monthly financials and management reports. In addition, there will be the year-end requirements and audit preparation. Interested candidates can contact us by email.
